Development permits

Gas lines and restrictions:


1.       According to the 2015 Fire Code, residences need to be 100 ft away from the wellhead and commercial/assembly 300 ft away from the wellhead.

2.       For subdividing the lot you would have to meet our rules and regulations which is 1 acre out of the floodplain or 2 acres out of the floodplain if a water well is needed, and you would also need 60 ft at the road front per property being subdivided; to get the full list of requirements please check out the Subdivision Rules and Regulations on the Denton County site, and please call our Senior Development Coordinator Gary Cook 940-349-2993 if you have any further questions regarding platting.

3.       You would need to contact the gas company for any questions regarding easements on the gas pipeline or any benefits.
